Parents who complete the media training session will be added to an exclusive email list that will keep them informed on upcoming media opportunities. As a media trained member you may be occasionally called on to be the designated spokesperson for a media release, or in response to a current issue in the news.
When a media opportunity arises, Parents’ Voice staff will liaise between you and the journalist, and brief you to ensure that you are comfortable with the topic and have our key messages and background information on hand.
You may find yourself talking to a range of media, this could include a reporter from your local newspaper or a well known national radio presenter. We also want members to act as advocates in their communities and if you feel media training could help you achieve this goal, Parents’ Voice would love to help!
